Gladys Brittain

Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Brittain, age 97 of Baxter and formerly of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada will be held Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 10:30am at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, Ontario. . Interment will follow at Eastlawn Cemetery in Hamilton, Ontario. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mrs. Brittain died peacefully on Monday, November 19, 2012 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born on August 17, 1916 in Hamilton, Ontario to the late Jack and Ethel Banks Wilkinson. Gladys was a dedicated homemaker and a member of War Amps Canada. In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her husband, Jack Brittain Sr. and by her brothers and sisters. She is survived her children Frank (Carolyn), Gary (Kelly), Joyce (Norm Clark), and Jack Jr. (Cory); 13 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
