Geraldine Flatt

Private family graveside services and interment for Mrs. Geraldine Owens Flatt, age 84 of Cookeville will be held Sunday, December 27th, 2020 at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Bro. Johnny Fox will officiate. Mrs. Flatt passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Quality Care Nursing Home in Lebanon, TN. She was born Monday, January 27, 1936 in the Willow Grove community of Clay, County, TN to the late Ezra and Eula Stockton Owens. She attended school in Cookeville and was a graduate of Cookeville High School. She and her late husband, Lowell Flatt, lived in Mt. Juliet, TN from 1964 until 1991. Mrs. Geraldine loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved cooking and being around people. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Lowell R. Flatt; brothers, Dee Owens, Edward Owens and Jerry Owens; and by sisters, Joyce Bullington, Billie Mitchell, Carolyn Hooks and Opaline Jones. She is survived by sons, Roger (Nancy) Flatt, of Cookeville, Douglas (Tawana) Flatt, of Lebanon, Tennessee; grandchildren, Daniel (Anna) Flatt, Wesley (Lauren) Flatt, Tamara (Jeremy) Smartt, James (Beverley) Flatt, Jacob (Cierra) Smartt and Allie; and great grandchildren, Tatum, Kipton, Elijah, Grady, Liza Jane, Orry, Adrian and Adaline.
