Geraldine Billingsley

Funeral services for Mrs. Geraldine Waller Steakley Billingsley, age 87 of Cookeville, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday October 25 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Bro. Gary Farris will officiate. Interment will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time. Due to COVID-19 precautions social distancing and face masks are encouraged. Mrs. Billingsley passed away Wednesday October 21, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born April 13, 1933 in Putnam County, TN to the late Allie and Sallie Julian Waller. Mrs. Billingsley was a member of Cookeville Freewill Baptist Church. She was formerly employed at Georgia Shoe, Cookeville Shirt Factory, and retired from Duriron (Flowserve). She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Janice Steakley of Cookevillle; two grandchildren, Seanaree (Kevin) O’Neale, Barrett (Katelyn) Steakley, all of Cookeville; three great grandchildren, Zach (Karli) Qualls, Jovie and Bram Steakley; two great-great grandchildren, Cooper and Sawyer Qualls; sister-in-law, Mary Waller; and niece, Lisa Cronk. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Norvell Steakley and Lewis Billingsley; and three brothers, Bud, Jerry, and Oneal Waller.
