George Hall

Funeral services for Mr. George Earl Hall, age 73 of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 1:00 pm in the Dyer chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow in the Elmore-Richardson Cemetery in Baxter. Pastor Steve Warren will officiate.

His family will receive friends Wednesday 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Hall died Sunday December 10, 2023 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

He was born February 24, 1950 in Sparta, TN to the late Bedford Carl Hall and Zelma Spivey Hall. He was a 1968 graduate of the former Dibrell High School near McMinnville. He proudly served his county in the United States Navy.

George worked at Nielson Bainbridge in Gainesboro in various roles for many years. He had a great personality and was easy going and kind hearted. He enjoyed watching television, spending time outdoors and traveling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley G. Herron Hall; brother, Joe Hall; daughter in law, Beth Cronk; brother in law, JB Wilhite; and by a nephew, Brian Hall.

George is survived by companion, Judy Wiley; a sister, Ruth Wilhite; stepchildren, Timmy Cronk, Jan (Greg) Keen, Tammy (Roy) King, Michelle Herron and Rhonda (Jerry) Peek; nephews including, Rudy Wilhite and Troy Wilhite; sister in law, Lois Hall; and by step grandchildren.

Rudy Wilhite, Troy Wilhite, Ken Martin, Roy King, Cody Wilhite and Freddy Bivins will serve as pallbearers.
