GEORGE BILYEU COOKEVILLE-Funeral services for Mr. George Lincoln Bilyeu, age 90 of Cookeville, will be held Thursday, December 21st at 1:00 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Algood City Cemetery. Bro. Les Ditto and Bro. Doyle Ashburn will officiate. Mr. Bilyeu's family will receive friends Wednesday, December 20th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Bilyeu died Monday, December 18, 2017 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born July 25, 1927 in Algood, TN to the late Alvie Herman and Willie Beatrice Reid Bilyeu. George worked as a candy salesman for many years for Shelton's Wholesale. He later was self employed and sold auto parts and candy. He was of the Church of Christ faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years (who died December 13, 2014) Estelle Allen Bilyeu and by sister, Bonnie Bilyeu. He is survived by brother, Robert Bilyeu and wife Lois of Baxter; sister, Edna Qualls of Algood; nieces and nephews, Terry Qualls of Algood, Dana and Bobby McWilliams and David and Sarah Bilyeu, all of Baxter; and by several great nieces and nephews.
