Gary Revelle Mackie

Mr. Gary Revelle Mackie, age 58, of Cookeville, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Memorial service will be held Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 6:00 pm in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral. Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until the time of service. Gary was born October 6, 1954 in Carthage TN to the late Arnold Mackie and Jean Carr Mackie. He had been ill for some time, but prior to his illness he had been a truck driver and worked for Adams USA. His love was music and he was always willing to join in as a drummer if the opportunity arose. Mr. Mackie is survived by his wife, Dulcie Mackie and one son, Donald Mackie, as well as a nephew, Jeff Mackie (Bobi) of Cookeville, two aunts, Carolyn Bates (Jim) and Tincie Strong, both of Baxter. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by one brother, Danny Mackie.
