Frank Sliger

Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Franklin "Frank" Sliger, age 65 of Algood, will be held Tuesday, April 5th at 1:00 p.m. in the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. Bro. Johnny Fox will officiate. His family will receive friends Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Sliger died Saturday April 2, 2022 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born June 19, 1956 in Cookeville, TN to the late Jimmy J. Sliger and Mary Lee Ford Sliger. He was a graduate of Cookeville Senior High. Frank worked as a line leader for Eastern Foam. He enjoyed playing volleyball and spent many weekends competing in various tournaments. He was a fan and enjoyed watching all types of wrestling and football. He was friendly and caring, a jokester, and was easygoing and laid back. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by nephew, Chad Flatt; niece, Sherry Hooten; paternal grandparents, Jimmy and Lizzie Sliger and maternal grandparents, Charlie and Annie Jernigan Ford. He is survived by his daughter, Emily Sliger, of Cookeville; sister, Ann Flatt, of Algood; niece, Sheila (James) Hines, of Whitleyville; great nieces, Zelda Hines, of Whitleyville and Makala Hooten, of Gallatin; family friend, Adam Baker; and by the mother of his daughter, Pauline Gunter. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with expenses and/or to a favorite charity of your choice.
