Memorial Services for Frances "Doodle" Anderson, 63, of Cookeville, will be held Sunday, August 9 at 2 P.M. at the Dry Valley Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Dr. Charles McCaskey will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time at the church. Mrs. Anderson died Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at her residence. She was born February 10, 1952 in Bristol, VA to the late Robert Walker and Elizabeth Whaley Bordwine. She was a graduate of George Washington High School in Indianapolis, IN. She and her husband moved to Cookeville in June of 1986. She was a member of the Dry Valley Cumberland Presbyterian Church. A loving and dedicated homemaker, she will be fondly remembered for her honest, tell-it-like-it-is nature and for her love of crocheting. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Anderson; sons, Robert (Heather) Anderson and Michael (Sierra) Collins all of Cookeville; daughter, Maggie Rose of Smithville; grandchildren, Shondra Rose, Noah Anderson, Isaiah Abbott, Elijah Abbott, Josiah Abbott, Makayla Abbott, Rebecca Sparks and a baby girl on the way; brother, Buddy Bordwine of Virginia; sister, Nancy Sechrest of Martinsville, IN; favorite aunt Jo Mutter and daughter Gina; and by two special friends, Janice Wiberg and Linda Yemmon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to be made to Boy Scout Troup 156, c/o St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 640 N Washington Ave., Cookeville, TN 38501.
