Funeral Services for Ernestine Witt Grissom, 90 of Baxter will be Sunday, Nov. 18 at 3 P.M. from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home with interment in Crest Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Grissom died Friday, November 16, 2012 at Masters Health Care Center in Algood. She was born June 7, 1922 in Quebeck, Tennessee to the late Albert and Vesta Wright Witt. She was a homemaker and member of Baxter Church of Christ. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell E. Grissom, Sr. on Feb. 2, 1982, sister Bessie Dodson, 3 brothers Jack Witt, Joe Witt and Infant Witt, a sister & brother-in-law Gleda Jo & Curtis Herriman. Survivors are 2 sons & daughters-in-law Lowell E. Jr. & Gail Grissom of Cookeville and Dale & Betty Grissom of Baxter, 5 grandchildren: Jason ( Lisa) Grissom, Matt (Tracy) Grissom, Jennifer (Terry) Mitchell, Joshua (Jessica) Grissom and Gracie Grissom, 5 great-grandchildren: Ethan Grissom, Kason Grissom, Evan Mitchell, Wyatt Mitchell and Kolton Grissom. Grandsons & Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Bro. Glendon Cantrell will officiate. Family will receive friends Saturday from 5 to 8 P.M. and Sunday from 12 to 3 P.M. at the funeral home.
