Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Mae Qualls, age 88, of Algood, will be at 2 p.m. Friday February 16 at the Algood Family Event Center with Melinda Bilbrey officiating. Interment will follow at Algood City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 12 noon until service time. Mrs. Qualls went home to be with her Lord and join her late husband on Tuesday evening February 13, 2018 while at Signature Health Care of Putnam County. She was born April 30, 1929 in Algood to the late Alva Herman and Willie Beatrice Reid Bilyeu. Mrs. Qualls was a member of Algood United Methodist Church. Professionally, she was the former receptionist for the TN National Guard, former bookkeeper for the City of Cookeville, and former assistant director of the Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency. She is survived by her daughter, Terry Qualls of Algood; brother, Robert and Lois Bilyeu of Baxter; two grandchildren, Dr. Robert (Elizabeth) Summers, and Sarah (Andrew) Baisley; three great-grandchildren, Cade and Ali Baisley, and Madeline Edna Summers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elwin Qualls, sister, Bonnie Bilyeu; brother, George Bilyeu. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
