Graveside services for Mrs. Edith Pearl Wyrick Jared, 92, of Cookeville will be held Wednesday, February 12 at 10 a.m. in Cookeville City Cemetery with Father Joe Weatherly officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the cemetery. Mrs. Jared died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Master"�s Health Care Center. She was born February 1, 1920 in Meigs County, TN to the late Samuel Francis Wyrick and Kalva Ann Jiles Wyrick. In the 1950"�s she graduated from the First Putnam County home nursing class and later taught the class for others. She was an adult swim instructor at Parkview Pool. She was a lifelong member of the Cookeville First Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School. She was an avid reader, bird watcher, gardener and loved swimming and water skiing. She did beautiful sewing handiwork. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Wilson Jared. Mrs. Jared is survived by her daughters, Ann Jared Lewald of Cookeville and Donna Jared Austin and husband Greg of Louisville, KY; and her beloved grandson, Jared Wilson Austin of Atlanta, GA.
