Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Harris, age 70 of Cookeville, will be held Tuesday April 28 at 5 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Frazier and her nephew Joe Joe Matheney officiating. Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. Mrs. Harris's family will receive friends Monday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 3 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Harris died Saturday morning April 25, 2015 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born May 26, 1944 in Putnam County, Tennessee to the late John D. and Mattie Robinson Mackie. She was a retired associate with Porelon of Cookeville. She attended McBroom Chapel Church of Christ and Double Springs Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C. M. Harris (who died February 28, 2012); sister, Lorene Craighead; and two brothers, Floyd Mackie and Lloyd Mackie. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Roy Hall; grandchildren, Aaron (Brody) Brodrick, Hunter Linn Hall, and Trace (Tracker) McKade Hall; and sister, Johnnie Pearl Matheney all of Cookeville. Pallbearers will be Joe Joe Matheney, Bobby Frasier, Aaron (Brody) Brodrick, Tim Cloud, Eric Hicks, and Gregory Whited.
