Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Christine Smith, 77 of Monterey will be held Wednesday May 25 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Whittaker Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Floyd will officiate. Mrs. Smith died Thursday morning May 19, 2011 in Masters Health Care Center. She was born December 25, 1933 in Jamestown, Tennessee to the late Joseph Shirley and Cora Davis Brown. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and attended Rock Springs Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Sharber Brown. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Charlotte Murphy of Nashville, Sue & Cisto Virzuela of Queen Creek, AR, and Rhonda & Loui Enriquez of Concord, CA; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Silas (Red) & Joyce Golden, Don & Juanita Golden all of Cookeville, and Rick Golden of South America; stepson, Isaac Lee and wife Regina Smith of Norfolk, VA; 24-grandchildren, 31-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Darrell Golden, Adam Golden, Timothy Golden, Joel Smith, Cody Keith, and Johnny Murphy. Mrs. Smith"�s family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 11 a.m. until service time at Horner Funeral Home.
