Dorothy Freeman

Funeral services for Dorothy Mae Freeman, 91, of Cookeville, will be held Saturday November 12 at 1 pm from the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Stiglich officiating. Interment will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 "� 8 pm and again Saturday from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Freeman died Wednesday, November 9, 2011 in the Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville. She was born March 20, 1920 in Cookeville to the late William Henry and Hallie Vera Williams Stamps. Mrs. Freeman was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church. She was retired as an Administrative Assistant with Tennessee Vocational Rehabilitation in Cookeville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Philip Freeman and granddaughter, Christie Thomas. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Janice Freeman of Raleigh, NC; two daughters and sons-in-law, Anne and Joe Thomas of Chillicothe, OH, Betty and Jack Whitehead of the Boma community in Putnam County; two sisters and brother-in-law, Jean and Gerald Mitchell, and Louise Mitchell, all of Marietta, GA; nine grandchildren, Leigh Anne Brown (Tim), Carol Huber (Bryan), Betsy Martin (Dave), Molly Leita (Jayme), Matthew Freeman, Sean Freeman, Megan Meadows (Kyle), Mary Clemons, and Jackie Whitehead; eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Matthew Freeman, Sean Freeman, Kyle Meadows, David Martin, Jayme Leita and Bryan Huber. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G.
