Dewayne Spurlock

Funeral services for Mr. Ray "Dewayne" Spurlock, age 60 of Cookeville, will be held Friday, May 19th at 1 P.M. in the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Estel Bilbrey and Leo Bilbrey will officiate. Interment will follow in Smith Chapel Cemetery .

His family will receive friends Friday from 11am until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Spurlock died Monday May 15, 2023 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

He was born September 29, 1962 in Cookeville to Mary Choate Spurlock and the late Kenneth "Ray" Spurlock. He was a 1980 graduate of Putnam County Senior High.

Dewayne worked as a Maintenance Technician for Putnam County. He was a huge Nascar fan and enjoyed time spent outdoors fishing.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Destiny Spurlock; a grandson, Hudson Spurlock; and by many friends.

Terry Allen Choate, Roy Spurlock, Dennis McBroom, Wayne Bilbrey, Matthew Bilbrey and Dave Hollis will serve as pallbearers.
