Visitation gathering for Hugh Daguerre Bussell, 67, of Cookeville will be held Thursday, October 25th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Daguerre died peacefully in his sleep at home on Tuesday, October 23, 2012. He was born January 6, 1945 to the late Hugh Mansfield Bussell (June 14, 1922-January 1, 1997) and Jeanne Duclos Bussell (July 23, 1923-July 21, 2012). Daguerre graduated from Central High School in 1963 where he was captain of the football team and bachelor of ugliness. He had a full football scholarship to Georgia Tech and later served in the Tennessee Air National Guard. He liked people and especially enjoyed keeping in touch with friends and family. He loved fishing, good music, genealogy, computers and woodworking. Daguerre is survived by his wife Billie Jo "BJ"� Covington Bussell and their beloved dogs; two sisters Adrienne Stone and Suzanne Whitehead and her husband John; brother Armand Bussell; two nephews Adam Bussell and Roman Stone and his wife Beth and their children Sawyer and Kelby; special cousin Austin Simmons and his wife Phyl of Germantown, TN; sister-in-law Lora and David Coleman of Cookeville; brother-in-law Alec and Gail Covington of Minneapolis, MN. Memorial contributions may be made to any animal shelter of your choice.
