Clyde Lee

Funeral services for Mr. Clyde Harold Lee, age 83 of Cookeville, were held Tuesday, July 6th at 7:00 p.m. in the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. His family received friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Bro. Clayton Lee officiated. Interment with military honors was held Wednesday, July 7th at 11:00 a.m. at the Nashville (TN) National Cemetery. Mr. Lee died Sunday June 27, 2021 at NHC of Cookeville, TN. He was born March 2, 1938 in Cookeville to the late Charlie B. and Nellie Mae Davis Lee. Mr. Lee was a Vietnam Veteran and retired as a Master Sergeant with the US Air Force. He was kind, gentle, with a quirky sense of humor. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed carpentry work. He had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed traveling. He was a committed family man and he especially loved his grandchildren. He and his late wife Bertha were members of Stevens Street Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his wife of over 45 years, Bertha D. Lee; an infant daughter, Karen G. Lee; brothers, Cheerful Lee, Clifford Lee and Carmel Lee; and by sisters, Nora Cleghorn, Verna Randolph and Notie Stewart. Mr. Lee is survived by wife of 10 years, Judy G. Howard Kellner Ragland Lee; son, Allen (Jane) Lee of Deltona, FL; daughters, Adienna (Bob) Peabody of Nashville, Phoebe (John) Hyatt of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Amber Bowling, Danielle Seiple, Allen Lee, Jr., Brenda Palomares, Amy Peabody, Chris Peabody, Lisa Ciamboli, and 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Clayton (Anna) Lee, Cordell (Joyce) Lee; and by a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. Family and friends served as pallbearers. Memorial contributions are suggested to be made to Hearts Afire International - Ministry in Haiti, 4104 Gayle Circle, Cookeville, TN 38501.
