Chuck Adams

Charles (Chuck) E. Adams went to be with the Lord on Wednesday March 22, 2023 at the age of 60, where he was surrounded by his loving family.

Chuck was born October 8, 1962 in Detroit, MI to the late John O. Adams Sr. and Eunice Alfrey Adams.

He was a former resident of the Almont/Dryden area of Michigan. He graduated from Almont High School in 1980. Chuck was a long time resident of Cookeville, Tennessee. He had a short career in the health care field working for Oxygen Professional Services before he became the owner/operator of his business, Custom Tile Works, that he started 30 years ago. He had a reputation for great service and attention to detail.

He is survived by his wife, Raney Stern Adams of Sparta; step-daughter, Amanda (Bradley) Matherly of Cookeville, step-grandchildren Grace, Sara, Sofia, Bailey, Hunter, and Brelyn; brother, John O. Adams Jr. of Cookeville; sister, Brenda (Bernie) Morlock of Apopka, Florida; sister, Bonnie (Allen) Leveque of Cookeville; and a very special daughter by choice, Ashton (Brandon) Brown and their children Mallory and Dean of Sparta; and many nephews, nieces, and other family members as well as countless friends that he considered family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Shellnut.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday March 25 at Hampton's Crossroads Baptist Church. Pastor Maston Jackson will officiate. Interment will follow at Old Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

His family will receive friends Friday from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home and again Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
