Funeral services for Mary Cathy Key Smith, age 73 of Cookeville, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday September 22 at Horner Funeral Home in Monterey. Bro. Caleb Bowling will officiate. Interment will follow at Welch Memorial Cemetery Her family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. and again Wednesday from 11 a.m. until service time. Cathy passed away peacefully from this life Sunday September 19, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born December 25, 1947 in Carthage, TN to the late Woody and Roberta Overstreet Key. Cathy is survived by her husband, Carl D. Smith of Cookeville; sons, Freddy (Angela) Condra, Ray Smith, and Michael Smith; daughters, Valerie George and Donna Condra; brothers, Robert Key, Paul Key, Wayne (Marsha) Key, Randall (Rosie) Key, Kenneth (Donna) Key, Tommy (Tammy) Key; sisters, Carolyn (James) Humphries, Janet (Roy) Greenwood, JoAnn (Thomas) Light; sister-in-law, Toni Key; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Sam Key; nephew, Marvin Key; niece, Sandy Reagan; sisters-in-law, Mary Alice Key and Pam Key; daughter-in-law, Delores Smith; and granddaughter, Nikisha Blaylock.
