Carolyn Christine Lambert passed away peacefully on April 12, 2024, in Cookeville, TN. Born on June 15, 1949, in Putnam County, TN, she infused joy and kindness into the lives of all who knew her.
Carolyn was a graduate of Upperman High School, Class of 1968. She worked as a seamstress at the former CM Clothing for nearly 20 years, where she was not only a dedicated worker but also a friend to many. Her deep faith was evident to all, as she was a firm believer in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
She was an avid seamstress and cook, often weaving love into the garments she made and the dishes she prepared. Her enthusiasm for camping, thrifting, and crafting reflected her appreciation for nature's beauty and the joy of discovery. Carolyn's home was a warm haven, where her beloved dog, Peanut, was a constant and cherished companion.
Standing petite in stature, Carolyn was nonetheless strong and stubborn, embodying the resilience she carried throughout her life. She proudly survived an EF4 tornado in 2020. Through much help from The Tuckers, Christ in Action, Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort and countless volunteers and donors; she was able to rebuild her life in a new home.
She enjoyed the special role of being the youngest in her family and often shared fond memories of her upbringing. She enjoyed playing board games with her family. Her humor and silly, playful nature made her the heart of many gatherings, leaving a legacy of smiles and cherished moments.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Platino "Platt" and Maudie Steele Dobbs; her sister, Rosa Lee "Rosie" Palmer; her brothers, Olden "Eugene" Dobbs, Will Dobbs, Albert Dobbs, Milton Dobbs and an infant brother, Ronald Hugh Dobbs. These family members were undoubtedly there to welcome her with open arms upon her passing.
Carolyn's memory will be treasured and kept alive by her devoted son, Shane Boswell and wife Erika, of Cookeville and daughter Kayla Gregg and husband Chad of Powell, TN; her brother, Zina Dobbs; and her sister, Betty Sue Goolsby. Her legacy will continue through her adored grandchildren, Morgan Boswell, Mallory Boswell, and Millie Gregg. Also mourning her loss are her many nieces and nephews including, Jeanette Haney and Claudia Gizinskiand the Palmer Family ; sister-in-law, Lucette Dobbs; and many special friends, who will miss her dearly. A celebration of life service is planned for June 15th, 2024 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the French Cookie, 125 W Broad St, Cookeville, TN 38501
