Bunola Garrett

Funeral services for Mrs. Bunola Christine Garrett, age 87 of Cookeville, will be held Monday June 20 at 3 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Whitney Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in West Cemetery (South). Mrs. Garrett's family will receive friends Monday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Garrett died Saturday afternoon June 18, 2016 in Bethesda Health Care Center. She was born October 31, 1928 in Putnam County, Tennessee to the late Selles and Lula Henry Jones. She and her husband owned and operated Garrett's Greenhouse. She was a long-time member of Cane Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Garrett; son, Bobby Garrett; four brothers, Arvil, Harold, Carroll, and Marshall Jones. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Richard Lasater of Murfreesboro, TN and Carol Sue and Bill Bullington of Cookeville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Larry and Cindy Garrett and David Garrett all of Cookeville; 12-grandchildren, Bailey (John) McChesney, Elizabeth (David) Parish, Becky (Bruce) Francisco, Beth Lasater, Bonnie (Bill) Bell, Richard Lee Laster III, Daniel Scott (Jenny) Lasater, Shawn (Erin) Bullington, Rachel (Gary) Marino, Caleb Garrett, Megan (Doug) Carr, and Adam (Samantha) Garrett; and 5-great grandchildren.
