Brandon Greber

May 13, 1993 — January 21, 2024

Brandon Michael Greber unexpectedly passed away on January 21, 2024, in Aurora, Colorado. Born on May 13, 1993, in Santa Clarita, California, Brandon's genuine laughter and spirited sense of humor brought light into the lives of everyone he encountered throughout his 30 years.

Brandon was a family person at his core, known for his sweet nature and loving demeanor to those who knew him. He had an exceptional bond with his father, Michael Greber, and step-mother, Lauren, as well as his mother, Deborah O'Connell, and step-father, John Shinn. His paternal grandmother, Kathleen Greber, along with her partner Rick Bodan, also held a special place in his heart. Brandon's love extended to his siblings, Sarah Shinn and her partner Margo, Brian Shinn and his wife Sarah, and Zachary Lefkowitz and his wife Cristina. His uncles, Andrew Greber with his wife Dawn, Doug Michels with his wife Jodi, and Dan Hamby with his wife Peggy, and his Aunt Dorothy Northcott with her husband David, will miss his presence dearly. Brandon was also a cherished uncle to his niece and nephew, Jacob and Emma Shinn, and a beloved cousin to Kaitlyn Bruns and her husband Tim, Jessica Michels, Samantha Northcott, and Benjamin Greber. Brandon and his second cousin, Donald Howerton, shared a unique bond of friendship. Along with a long list of his extended family, our Mr. B. will be sorely missed.

Brandon's commitment to his country was evident through his service in the US Navy, which he joined immediately after graduating from high school. At the time of his passing, he was proudly serving as a Petty Officer First Class at Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora, Colorado. His dedication to his work and the bonds he formed with his fellow service members were a testament to his character.

An avid video gamer, Brandon could often be found with a controller in hand, immersed in another world, yet always ready to pause for a laugh or to lend a helping hand. He was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought, embodying the true spirit of generosity. It was a constant battle to ignore the “I Buy!” when Brandon would be on leave visiting his family.

Brandon loved fishing with his father in Tennessee and working on his mother’s property in Texas. No matter what was going on, Brandon was always, without question, willing to work tirelessly for his family and spending time with each family member was what he loved more than anything else.

Brandon's absence will be profoundly felt by his many friends whom he served with in the US Navy. His willingness to help a fellow sailor, hike in the mountains with pals, and to be an ‘uncle’ to a friend’s baby, will never be forgotten, and he will be missed by all who had the privilege of truly knowing him.

Private graveside services, with military honors, will be held at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Monterey, Tennessee, where Brandon will be celebrated and his service honored as he is laid to rest. Immediately afterwards, a gathering will be at the residence of Michael & Lauren Greber.

As we bid farewell to Brandon, we take comfort in the memories he leaves behind, the smiles he created, and the profound impact he had on so many lives. His story may have ended far too soon, but the chapters he wrote in the lives of those around him will be cherished and reread for generations to come.
