Bobby Nickens

A visitation for Mr. Bobby Clarence Nickens, 80, of Maryville, TN and formerly of Monterey will be held Monday, August 27 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with a private family burial to follow. Mr. Nickens died Monday, August 20, 2012 at his home in Maryville. He was born April 22, 1932 in Overton County, TN to the late Van Buren and Martha Jane Winningham Nickens, Sr. Mr. Nickens was of the Baptist faith. He was a 1951 graduate of Monterey High School and a retired district manager with Walmart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lamb Nickens (who died January 29, 2012), and a brother, Van Buren "Bud"� Nickens, Jr. Mr. Nickens is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Don & Tracey Nickens of Bradenton, FL; Scott and Sonya Nickens of Knoxville, TN; Todd and Olivia Nickens of Kingsport, TN; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harry and Alica Nickens and Jack and Karen Nickens all of Roanoke, VA; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Peggy Walker of Monterey, Rosemary Wynn of Crossville, TN; Nancy Bowman and Barbara & Bud Biggers all of Cookeville; six grandchildren, Rachel (Zach) Weeks, Rebecca Nickens, Byron Nickens, Brant Nickens, Michael Nickens and Josh Nickens; three great grandchildren, Audrey and Hailey Weeks and Kara Nickens.
