Bobby Burgess

BAXTER-Funeral services for Bobby Edward Burgess, 58 of Baxter, will be Friday, May 5 at 1 PM at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Maxwell South Cemetery. Bro. Herb Leftwich will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday from 3 to 8 PM and after 10 AM Friday at the funeral home.

He was born January 19, 1965 in Putnam County to the late Burnest Denton and Mary Flora Maxwell Burgess.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents: Burnest "Burn" and Mary Betty Sullins Burgess, Vestal and Lillie Rodgers Maxwell.

Bobby died Wednesday morning, May 3, 2023 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include a brother Michael Burgess of Baxter, a host of aunts, uncles and cousins survive.

Serving as pallbearers will be JD Burgess, Dustin Burgess, Jerry Townsend, Devin Townsend, Dennis Maxwell and Johnny Phillips.
