Billy Dicus Robinson

Funeral Services for Billy Dicus Robinson, age 79 of Cookeville, will be held Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the West Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, May 2, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from Noon until time of the service at the funeral home. Mr. Robinson died Monday, April 30, 2012 at Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville. Billy was born September 19, 1932 in Putnam County TN to the late Willie Z. Robinson and Sara Beulah Grimes Robinson. He was known for his woodworking and was the owner of R & R Cabinet Shop. Mr. Robinson served our country in the U.S. Army and was also a member of the Samaria Church of Christ. Billy is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce Robinson; two sons, Phillip L. (Monica) Robinson and Marc (Angie) Robinson, both of Cookeville; one brother, Jere Robinson of Crossville; two sisters, Grace Robinson of Cookeville and Ruth Fitzpatrick of Texas; three grandchildren, Linzi, Kelsey and Kinzi Robinson; several nieces and nephews and a loving church family. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by three sisters; Ruby Lacy, Dorothy Jent, and Geraldine McMurtry. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Bethesda Health Care Center for their excellent care during the fourteen months Billy was a resident there. Brother David Eldridge will officiate the services.
