Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Creamer Morrison of Cookeville will be held Friday, October 12 at 1 p.m. at Cookeville First Baptist Church with interment to follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. Dr. Randall Adkisson will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home and Friday 12 noon until service time at the church. Mrs. Morrison passed into the arms of her Redeemer, Jesus Christ on Monday, October 7, 2012. She was born in Memphis, TN to the late Charles and Eva Creamer. Mrs. Morrison was an active member of Cookeville First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Women"�s Missionary Union, sang with the Happy Tones group, served on the pulpit committee, and taught high school girls Sunday school for over fifty years. She was an avid golfer, a member of Town and Gown, and a charter member of the Cookeville Symphony Guild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Hamp Morrison, two sisters, Elise Creamer and Ann Jackson; four brothers, Jimmy Creamer, Bill Creamer, Bobby Creamer and Rivers Creamer. Mrs. Morrison is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Hamp A. and Paula Morrison III; two grandsons, Chandler Morrison and Pierce Morrison all of Franklin, TN. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Chandler and Pierce Morrison, and family friends, Dwight Duke, Charlie Hutchinson, Bill Ray and Roger Foyler. Honorary pallbearers will be James Seay Brown and Dr. Wallace Prescott. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in her memory to New Hope Academy, 1820 Downs Blvd., Franklin, TN 37064, where her grandsons attended.
