Bernice Lucretia Intermill, age 93 of Cookeville, passed away Saturday evening August 13, 2022 at her home. Services are being planned for a later date. Bernice was born August 22, 1928 in Independence, IA to the late Leo and Eva Potts Anderson. She was retired from Hawkeye Steel Products in Waterloo, IA, where she worked in the accounts receivable department. Bernice was a member at the Waterloo Grace Brethren Church. She later moved to Alamo, TX in 1988 and was involved with mission work at Bibleville Conference Grounds, a Division of Rio Grande Bible College, where she and her husband resided for 33 years. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Alamo, TX. Bernice enjoyed sewing, needlework and was an avid reader. She is survived by two sons, Larry (Yvette) Intermill of Cookeville, TN and Glen (Cyndie) Intermill of Eagle Point, OR; daughter, Diane (Michael) Bofferding of Plano, TX; six grandchildren, Alex (Lisa) Intermill, Steven (April) Bofferding, Julie (Marc) Spitzenberger, Beth Bofferding, Eric Intermill, and Kate (Jody) Browning; and nine great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Intermill and two brothers, Donald and Victor Anderson. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warrior Project would be more desirable. Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
