Barbara Lynn Montgomery

Funeral Services for Barbara Lynn Montgomery, age 57 of Cookeville, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 30, 2011 in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home, with burial following in the West Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening December 29, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Ms. Montgomery died Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at her home. She was born April 27, 1954 in Putnam County TN to the late Harold C. and Perry Helen Owens Montgomery. Barbara was of the Church of Christ faith. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant and had worked in that capacity for several years. Barbara is survived by two children; Christopher Todd Montgomery and Heather Montgomery, both of Cookeville. She is also survived by four sisters; Betty Jane Mee, Wilma Ruth Thomas, Rebecca Ann Montgomery and Tracy Dawn Montgomery, all of Cookeville. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by one nephew, Darrell Rittenberry Pallbearers will be Michael Thomas, Matthew Maddle, Eric Luke, Steven Burns, Ron Bruzda and Harvey Clinton. Brother Larry Self will be conducting the service.
