Barbara Lundstrom

Memorial services for Barbara Lundstrom, age 91 of Cookeville and formerly of California, will be held Friday, March 3rd at 4:00 p.m. at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Pastor Jim Moore will officiate. Barbara died Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at NHC Healthcare of Cookeville. She was born July 22, 1925 in Plainfield, New Jersey to the late Joseph Conrad and Beulah May Waters Blimm. She married her late husband, Karl G. Lundstrom, in 1946 in Plainfield. They moved to Southern California in 1948 where she resided until moving to Cookeville in 1999. Barbara was a very positive person and enjoyed acting silly to make others laugh. A devoted homemaker, family was her main priority as she valued speaking with family members each day. She loved the beach and enjoyed reading, playing cards and painting. She has been a member of Trinity Assembly since moving to Cookeville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Karl G. Lundstrom; five brothers and sisters, and by a grandson, Gregory Wayne Blazier. She is survived by her adoring family, her daughters, Karen (Daryl) Bowser of Chesterfield, Missouri, Beth (James) Giese of Woodinville, Washington and Amy (Stephen) Dillon of Cookeville; grandchildren, Dana Giese, Jimmy (Genny) Giese, Stephanie (Robert) Jimenez, Christopher Salem and Chelsea (Lance Betcher) Salem; and great grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah and Dylan Jimenez and Sakari Caedance and Berlin Giese. Her family will receive friends on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
