Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Christine Ranes Moss, age 88 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday April 13 at 11am in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremiah Tatum officiating. Interment will follow in the Algood City Cemetery. Mrs. Moss died Wednesday April 10, 2013 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born January 11, 1925 in Clay County, TN to the late Walter and Minnie Scott Raines. Mrs. Moss works as a seamstress. She and her husband moved to the Rickman, TN in 1975 and moved to Cookeville in 1981. She was a member of Willow Avenue Church of Christ for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Hovie, George, Estes and Tracy Raines; and three sisters, Ila Pedigo, Lovie Daniels and Olen McKinley. Mrs. is survived by her husband of 56 years, James Moss (whom she married January 12, 1957 in Louisville, KY), and by a host of nieces and nephews. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Friday from 5pm to 8pm and again Saturday from 10am until service time at the funeral home.
