Memorial services for Mrs. Amy Catherine Jumisko Bennett, age 75, of Cookeville, will be at 1 p.m. Friday June 8 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday from 11 a.m. until time of services. Amy passed away at her home on Wednesday morning June 6, 2018 of Alzheimer's Disease. She was born in Ontonagon, Michigan on April 22, 1943. After living in Minnesota for several years, she and her daughter, Beth, relocated to Cookeville, Tennessee where she worked for Upper Cumberland Development District, NHC Home Health and the American Red Cross. Amy met the love of her life, David Richard "Rick" Bennett over 30 years ago and in 1995 they married at their home in Cookeville. Amy was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben and Catherine Jumisko, as well as two brothers, Tom and Delbert. She is survived by loving husband Rick, daughter Beth Thompson (Brian) of Cookeville, stepson Taylor Bennett (Cayce) of Nashville, brother Bill Jumisko (Pat) of Macomb, MI, grandsons Lain Thompson of Cookeville, and Dylan Springborg of Owatonna, MN, and step-granddaughter Charlie Bennett of Nashville. The family asks in lieu of flowers, please donate in Amy's name to the Cure Alz Fund (curealz.org). The family also wished to send their gratitude to Dr. Pamela Sanders and her staff, as well as the dedicated team at Kindred Hospice.
