Alfred Diedrich

Alfred August Diedrich, age 81 of Cookeville, passed away Tuesday morning, December 21, 2021 at Overton County Health and Rehabilitation. No services are planned. He was born May 14, 1940 in the Bronx Borough of New York City, NY to the late Alfred Diedrich and Emily Cremer Diedrich. Alfred was a US Army veteran having served in Vietnam. He was retired as an auditor with Bear Stearns Investment Firm. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Maria Stark Diedrich, whom he married October 19, 1968; daughters, Wendy (Ben) Baker, Dawn Poligkeit (Nick Smith) all of Cookeville, Janette (Marc) Bernstein of New Port Richey, FL; sons, Peter (Akane) Diedrich of Brooklyn, NY and Al (Tanya) Diedrich of Temple, GA; brother, Raymond (Diane) Diedrich of Cookeville; grandchildren, Jessica and Kevin Bernstein, Desiree Merrell, Austin and Remington Diedrich, Natasha and Clayton Price, Paul, Brian, William and Gregory Poligkeit, Hunter Smith, Skyler, Eli and Allison Baker; and great grandson, Atticus Diedrich. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, and son-in-law, Paul Poligkeit.
